We are a family owned and operated business for over 100 years, located at 157 Wyoming, Street in Welch, WV.

Our Valued Staff

  • Richie C. Tankersley

    Richie C. Tankersley, Funeral Director and Licensee in Charge

    Richie is a 1978 Graduate of the Cincinnati School of Mortuary Science. Having owned and operated Tankersley Funeral Home from 1982 to 2001. Richie became the Funeral Director and Licensee In Charge of the Douglas Mortuary in 2005. He has also been a minister and choir member for several years.

  • Linda K. Douglas

    Linda K. Douglas, Owner and Operator

    Linda has been the Owner / Operator of Douglas Mortuary for many years, following passing of her husband Robert O. Douglas. Linda is a very compassionate person and deeply cares for the families she serves.

  • Donald L. Hagerman

    Donald L. Hagerman, Manager

    Don joined the staff of the Douglas Mortuary in 1967, giving him now over 53 years of experience. Don is a former resident of War and is the most senior employee. It is with a heavy heart that I now inform you all that Don passed away on May 19, 2020. He was devoted to his job and worked diligently to help those at their saddest time, during the lose of a loved one. May You Rest In Peace.

  • David Dash

    David Dash, Assistant

    David has been with Douglas Mortuary for over 30 years and has been a minister for over 30 years. David is very gifted in his music ministry as well.

  • Mike Brown

    Mike Brown, Staff

    Mike joined our staff in 2016 bringing with him 32 years of funeral service experience. He has now been in the funeral service business for over 36 years and has been an ordained minister for over 23 years.
