SUSIE KOCZKA Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Due to circumstances beyond our control the service scheduled for Susie Koczka on Wednesday, August 31 has been changed to Friday, September 2 ,2022 at 1:00 PM at the Advent Christian Church of East War with Pastor Danny Cyphers officiating. Burial will follow in Iaeger Memorial Cemetery, Roderfield. Friends may call at the church one hour prior to the service. Susie Koczka, 80, of War, WV, passed away Saturday, August 21, 2022 at her residence. Born October 31, 1941, in War, she was the daughter of the late Alex Koczka and Annie Varro Koczka. Susie was the Caretaker of her mother for many years. She was a member of the Advent Christian Church of East War, and a graduate of Big Creek High School. Susie never met a stranger and was generous, always giving and helping people and wanting nothing in return. She loved animals and she was very artistic and creative and enjoyed sewing. She loved Christ and was devoted to her church and her family. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by one sister, Elizabeth Grose; three brothers, Jimmy, Alexander and Steve Koczka. Those left to cherish her memories are two brothers, Andy Koczka of War with whom she made her home; and Louis Koczka of Lebanon, VA; also several nieces and nephews and her dog “Baby” that she cherished.
