WILLIAM V. "BUTCH" WORLEY

October 7, 1946 - January 17, 2022

William V. “Butch” Worley, 75, of Welch, passed away Monday, January 17, 2022 at his residence. Born October 7, 1946 in Superior, WV, he was the son of the late William Albert Worley and Louise Virginia Peaveley Worley. William was a retired coal miner. He was a graduate from Welch High School and was a member of the North Welch First Church of God. In addition to his parents; he was preceded in death by one sister, Norma Jean Childress. Those left to cherish his memories are his loving and devoted wife, Mary Catherine Branson Worley of the home; one son, William V. “Butch” Worley II and wife Natosha of Bramwell; one daughter, Bobbi Worley Pruitt and husband Stanley of Welch; two sisters-in-law, Martha Collins and Peggy O’Donelle both of Maryland; five grandchildren, Cameron Belcher, Dalton Belcher, Zackery Belcher, Brittany Trent and husband Kyle, Ryan Pruitt and wife Chasity; and four great grandchildren, Gracelynn Pruitt, Ryan Pruitt Jr., Daniel Trent and Tayten Worley. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, January 20, 2022 at 12:00 Noon from the North Welch First Church of God with Reverend Scott Long, officiating. Burial will be at the Woodlawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Bluewell. Friends may call at the church Thursday from 10:00 AM to 12:00 Noon. Pallbearers will be family and friends. Services will be held in accordance with Covid-19 guidelines, masks are to be worn by all attending and social distancing is to be practiced.
