NANCY LEE STOVER Nancy Lee (Mullins) Stover, 83, of Parkersburg (formerly of Welch, WV), passed into her Savior’s arms on May 10, 2022 at Roanoke Memorial Hospital. She was born December 13, 1938 in Big Jenny, WV to the late Roby and Mae Deel Mullins. Nancy graduated from Pineville High School in 1956. In August 1958, she married Charles Stover and their union produced a daughter, Rhonda Stover, and a son, Gary (Lisa) Stover, both of Parkersburg, WV. She was a loving mother who always put the needs of her children first. Nancy spent the bulk of her adult years in Welch, owning a small business for a number of years and then retiring after working for the state of WV for several years. Her customers at The Fabric Shop became like family to her. Nancy never met a stranger and loved talking to people. Most of all, she enjoyed sharing the love of Christ with all whose path she crossed. Her compassion, generosity, and service were known throughout the community. An untold number of lives were touched and changed for the better for having known her. In addition to her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Rachel Deel and paternal grandparents, Bud and Julie Mullins. She was also preceded in death by brothers in law, Ken Sigmon of Pineville, WV and Doug Stover of Wichita Falls, TX and sisters in law June Murray and Loretta Stover, both of Wichita Falls, TX Left to cherish her memory, in addition to Charles and her children, are a grandson Nathan (Selena) Stover, a granddaughter Sara (Jake) Work, and a great grandson, Colt Work all of Parkersburg. She loved her grandchildren and their spouses with all her heart. She leaves behind beloved sisters, Patty (Pat) Wyatt of Welch, WV and Brenda Sigmon of Princeton, WV as well as her beloved brother, Bud (Emily) Mullins of Princeton, WV. In addition, she is survived by sister in laws, Jane Stover and Juanita Burcham both of Texas. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, all of whom held a special place in her heart. She had a multitude of friends, all of whom were like family to her, and she was always looking to meet new people and make new friends. Nancy was always comfortable praising God in any house of worship; at the time of her death, she was a member of Harvest Center Ministries on the Welch-Pineville Road. Funeral services will be conducted Monday, May 16, 2022 in the Roselawn Memory Gardens Mausoleum in Princeton at 1:00 PM, with Reverend Walter Muncy, officiating. Burial will follow in the cemetery.
