LARRY DALE LANE SR.

. Larry Dale Lane, Sr., 70, of Welch passed away Saturday, February 26, 2022 in Princeton Community Hospital, Princeton. Born April 30, 1951in Maitland he was the son of the late John Anthony Layne and Mary Ettie Workman Lane. He was a former machine operator with a lumber company. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Welch. He enjoyed traveling and taking walks, and loved his family. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Tom Lane, and two sisters, Margie Lane and Gracie Green. He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years Gracie Diane Lane of the home; a son, Larry Dale Lane Jr. and companion Breanna Odum of Welch; three daughters, Amy Lane and companion Eric Johnson of Princeton, Jessica Pernell and husband Richard of Welch, and Britany Ferrell and husband James of Gary; six brothers, Ricky Lane, Allen Lane and Jimbo Lane all of Pineville, Tom Lane and Douglas Lane both of NC, and Bill Lane of WA; one sister, Lorene Green of Pineville; 14 grandchildren, and his fur babies Peaches and Scooby. A memorial service and video tribute to honor his memory will be held Friday, March 4 at 6 p.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Welch.
