FLOYD JOE MULLINS

Floyd Joe Mullins, 76, of Hemphill went to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 14, 2018 at his home surrounded by his family. Joe was born June 6, 1942 in Pineville, WV to the late Walter and Virginia Mullins. He was a retired coal miner for Cannelton Coal Company where he worked for 29 years. He was of the Holiness faith and attended the Hemphill Holiness Church, where he enjoyed gospel music and worshipping the Lord. He loved spending time with his family and life long friend Toby Belcher. He also enjoyed trading and working on vehicles. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister Faye Peaks of Welch, and his son-in-law David Blackburn of Hemphill. Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 54 years Trish Mullins of the home; four daughters, Angela and BeboHale, Joann and Jeff Boyer, Teresa Blackburn and Tina and Sam Prevento all of Hemphill; two brothers, Winfred and Terry Mullins of Hemphill; three sisters, Brenda Lambert of Big Sandy, Laverne and Danny Allen of Edmore, and Marie and Tink Brady of NC; and 5 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Funeral service will be conducted Wednesday, October 17 at 12 p.m. in the Hemphill Holiness Church with Pastors Sam Preventoand J.B. Robinette officiating. Burial will follow in WoodlawnMemorial Park, Bluewell. Friends may call at the church Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the service time. Pallbearers will be his four grandsons, Joe Joe Mullins, David Boyer, Chase Watkins, Bubby Mullins, and two nephews Lacey and Joey Mullins. The Douglas Mortuary of Welch is serving the Mullins family.
