Douglas (Doug) Stevenson Addair, 45 of Jr. Poca near Welch, died at home and was pronounced dead at Welch Community Hospital early Sunday morning, June 17, 2018. Born December 30, 1972 in Welch, he was the only son of Rolly (Buddy) Addair and the late Helen Marie Rose Addair. He was known as Doug or Dougie to everyone. He was a loving son, brother, grandson, and uncle. He had attended Mount View High School and enjoyed going to church, loved car shows, and hanging out with his friends. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by a special niece Elizabeth Elouise Keene, his maternal and paternal grandparents, and several aunts and uncles. Left to cherish his memory are his father Rolly (Buddy) Addair of the home; his loving sister Rita Buzuma and husband Todd of Moneta, VA and another special niece Kimberly Keene of Bluefield, WV, as well as a host of family and friends especially his close friend Josh Little (Bubby), who was like a brother to him who will mourn his loss. Funeral service will be conducted Friday, June 22, at 11 a.m. in the Douglas Mortuary chapel in Welch with the Reverends Lucille and Cruz Soto officiating. Burial will follow in Riffe Cemetery on Atwell Mountain. Friends may visit with the family on Thursday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be family and friends. The Douglas Mortuary of Welch is serving the Addair family.
