Jonathan David Burchett

It is with great sorrow; the family of Jonathan David “Johnny B” Burchett announces his untimely passing. Johnathan was 50 years old. Born on January 14, 1971 and passing on July 22, 2021. Johnny B was a true free spirit who embraced the outcast lifestyle that society bestowed upon him as a badge of honor. He held a passion for nature, finding himself at home in the woods. He was a man who marched to the beat of his own drum, and he was full of unique perspectives that made him loved and admired greatly by those closest to him. Like many, life had thrown many obstacles in his path that he never quite overcame, but that never kept him from trying to brighten someone’s day with a laugh. Despite all his troubles, he was fun loving and in good spirits, telling those around him not to take life so seriously. He was a lifelong carpenter with a lot of skills. People always came to him anytime something had broken, and everyone always said he could fix anything. He was a loving and compassionate father. This is the side of him he will be remembered for the most. He will be truly missed. He was the son of Margaret and Richard Christian of Wilco, WV. He is survived by his children: Jonathan (Pal) Burchett Jr, Raychelle (Burchett) Orell and son-in-law Greer Orell. His wife (separated) Kathy Burchett. His brothers: Robert (Bobby) Burchett, Christopher Wood and companion Joy Maynor. A brother-in-law: Barry White and sister-in-law: Charity White. Step siblings: Richard (Freddy) Christian and companion Sherry Kiger, Kenneth Christian, Alvin Christian and wife Misty, Lisa Christian, Keith Christian and wife Vicky Christian. Chosen Brothers: Johnny-Ray Justice, Danny Orndorff, and Darrel Lester. Nieces and Nephews: Kameron Burchett, Kaden Burchett, Dianna Stevens, Megan Burchett, Courtney Green, Isaiah Koning, Robbi Renko, Barry White 3rd. Great nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be conducted Saturday, August 21, 2021 at 11:00 AM from the Havaco Community Church in Havaco with Reverend Randall Dority and Pastor Rhodeena Hatfield officiating. Inurnment will follow at the Iaeger Memorial Cemetery in Roderfield. Friends may visit with the family at the church one hour prior to the services.
